If you don't know how can a rural house of G.C be, we are going to tell you how they are .
This is an example of rural house by Raúl:
A house situated on the outskirts of Telde, half-way up a small hill from where the old quarter of the same and the end of the El Cortijo golf course can be seen. The house is made up of three double bedrooms, three bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, two spacious, pleasant living rooms that give directly on to a large terrace where there is a swimming pool, barbecue, an oven and a spacious solarium with sun loungers. The house is in a warm and sunny area.

The island of Gran Canaria , part of the Canaries archipelago, is situated in the Atlantic Ocean, some 115 km off the African coast. It has a landmass of 1,532 square kilometres with an outstanding variety of scenery and landscape. Over the years it has been shaped by the forces of nature (originally a volcanic island) and the intervention of man and has resulted in a rich natural diversity with several different ecosystems, abrupt mountains, deep ravines and high cliffs.
Gran Canaria is ideal for off-the-beaten-track tourism:
- Its great all year round weather with a warm, spring-like climate
- It has lots of different sports on offer. For example there are more than 300km of footpaths. Until the 19th century there weren’t any roads on Gran Canaria so everything was connected with a series of paths and tracks. This network, known as "caminos reales" (royal tracks), has been preserved and developed for walkers to enjoy the natural beauty of Gran Canaria.
- Its high quality rural accommodation. There has been a major move in recent years to restore and update houses in rural locations. This work has been carried out in keeping with local island architectural styles. House-caves are an example of this kind of architecture. These properties are often surprising because of their stable, pleasant temperatures - both in winter and summer

There, before the major throws up the rocket, people bring together in a big circle, hugging the pool. There are thousands of people that wear traditional dresses and every year there is more people.

The municipality of Teror is located in the average zones of North Gran Canaria, there are 20 km of distance from the old quarter of Teror Village to Las Palmas of GC one. Their limits draw an irregular shape that borders on six different municipalities: in the north, Arucas; in the northeast, Las Palmas of Gran Canaria; in the east, St Brígida; in the south, St Mateo; in the west, Valleseco; in the northwest, Firgas.
Teror‘s topography is very hilly and its landscape is characterised by the amount of gullies and mountains in all of its surface.
The traditional food of Teror has a lot of farmer’s products of the zone.
Potatoes, corn, beans, or the courgette are some of our cultivated products and they’re used for preparing the ‘potajes’, one of the traditional Canarian products. There is also meat in the municipality’s gastronomy, essentially pork, as in ‘potajes’ as in the fabrication of charcuterie’s products.
Perhaps there is no traditional food representing the municipality, but there are products that are important in the gastronomy of Canarias. The most famous are the ‘chorizos’ and the black pudding, but also the ‘gofio’, bakery and patisserie.
There is a mass procession honouring ‘Nuestra Señora del Pino’, who receives a lot of gifts, in September. The ‘papahuevos’ colour the festivals that finishes the next Sunday with a procession called the Day of Marias.

The municipality of Tejeda is located in the middle of the island of Gran Canaria in the highest zone of the island.
The tops of the municipality reach the big hollow of Tejeda, originated by a huge collapsing caldera, made by volcanoes and eroded by water.
The basaltic monoliths, geologic representatives of the island, reach the municipality and they lure visitors.
This stunning scenery was named by Unamuno as ‘The petrified tempest’
Tejeda is famous because of its almond trees, from where our manufactured sweets born.
Every February, people of around the island come to Tejeda to enjoy our traditions as traditional music, dancing, manufactured products, traditional sports, fairs of cattle and agricultural products and an exhibition of the typical works that everyone like.

Osorio is a rural park where you can walk between trees and nature.
You can have a picnic in middle of one of the oldest forest on Earth, the laurisilva, you can also see some agricultural plots, why? Because this huge terrain was owned by a noble called Manrique de Lara.Nowadays it's free entry and you can be there all the day.
It has a big collection of trees of all the world and a lot of toadstools and mushrooms; once there was an exposition of mushroom and you could taste them!!!

Rural Park of Nublo
The Rural Park of Nublo is a protected space that, apart from being a natural reserve of wildlife has huge pine forests, paths and ways where you can walk and enjoy the nature. The Roque Nublo is one of the most famous natural monuments of Gran Canaria. It is located in the geographic centre of the island in the municipality of Tejeda in a very montanious zone. Its origin is volcanic, it comes from a vulcano like calderas, and its height is 1813 metres above the sea! Long time ago it was a worship place for natives.
