Rural Parks Of Gran Canaria

Rural Park of Doramas
The Rural Park of Doramas is located in North Gran Canaria in some municipalities as Moya, Firgas, Valleseco, Santa María de Guía, Teror and Arucas.

This rural park has a beautiful landscape and it is a place of interest because of its culture and agricultural zones.

Inside of the Rural Park of Doramas there are natural reserves as Barranco Oscuro, los Tiles de Moya and Azuaje.

Osorio
Osorio is a rural park where you can walk between trees and nature.

You can have a picnic in middle of one of the oldest forest on Earth, the laurisilva, you can also see some agricultural plots, why? Because this huge terrain was owned by a noble called Manrique de Lara.Nowadays it's free entry and you can be there all the day.

It has a big collection of trees of all the world and a lot of toadstools and mushrooms; once there was an exposition of mushroom and you could taste them!!!

You mustn't forget visit it if you come to Gran Canaria, it is a marvelous place!

Los Tiles de Moya
Los Tiles de Moya is a forest with some special trees like laurisilva or Tilos and its area is about 91 ha on Barranco de Moya ( Moya gully) in Gran Canaria. It is located in the municipalities of St María de Guía and Moya.

Here I will put some varieties of plants and animals that we can find:

Rural Park of Nublo
The Rural Park of Nublo is a protected space that, apart from being a natural reserve of wildlife has huge pine forests, paths and ways where you can walk and enjoy the nature. The Roque Nublo is one of the most famous natural monuments of Gran Canaria. It is located in the geographic centre of the island in the municipality of Tejeda in a very montanious zone. Its origin is volcanic, it comes from a vulcano like calderas, and its height is 1813 metres above the sea! Long time ago it was a worship place for natives.
